I recently graduated from the Operations Management Program at
Centennial College and found myself fascinated with the amount of Supply
Chain “talk” at various companies. After reading many articles, I
realized supply chain was the career path I wanted to follow. While
conducting further research I found myself at OIPMAC’s website, where I
learned about the Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program.
I began my career by working as a Department Manager for one of the
largest Home Improvement leaders. I saw many opportunities for growth
and wanted to create future advancement opportunities. I rushed to
enroll myself in the program and found myself eager to start learning.
Enrolling in the Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program
opened many doors at my workplace, where I now work as a Junior Analyst
for the Inventory Management department. The C.P.P. is the true
designation of choice in the Purchasing and Supply Chain field because
students are provided with real world examples to analyze and learn
from. Having attended many classes, workshops and networking events, I
became more involved in OIPMAC. I am now part of the Program Planning
Council for the Greater Toronto Area where I am responsible for planning
events and member activities.
Pursuing my C.P.P. and working with OIPMAC continues to be a
rewarding experience and I look forward to being a continuous member of a
leading association.
